Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, has shared a heartbreaking story of how he was neglected by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and abandoned by his family and colleagues during his struggles
Hanks Anuku revealed that a video of him preparing for a movie role, where he played a mad man, was misinterpreted, leading to unfounded rumors of drug addiction and mental breakdown.
Despite his explanations, his family, including his twin brother and wife, believed the rumors, causing him immense pain and loneliness.
The AGN and his colleagues in the industry also shunned him, ceasing communication and job offers.
Hanks Anuku credited his resilience and faith in God for helping him overcome the challenges.
He is now gradually rebuilding his life and career, finding solace in his gradual return to his former self.
